One thing Sullivan has a talent for is being out of step with fan opinion. He may well think we idolise Arnautovic as his opinion is based on the "foam finger" / tourist fans view .

Re: Arnautovic
you think Pellegrini decides what salary players get, stop talking bollocks . what call do you think he could make other than admitting he wasn't interested at training and his head wasn't right to play? he doesn't make the call on whether they sell the player or not, that's down to sullivan. of course you're not a fan, you fucking hate the bloke

Re: Arnautovic
You are judging him on what he is saying to the press.
He just played a straight bat and gave the cunts nothing.
We didn’t have a suitable bid for Arnautovic.
The impression I got was that Pellegrini was happy for him to go if the price was right and the right player (ie Gomez) was lined up.
That may still be the end result.

Re: Arnautovic
Do we know for certain that it was Sullivan sticking his beak in giving Arnie a new improved contact behind our esteemed leaders back?
Either way Pellegrini does not come out of this with any credit, if he knew then he’s responsible for upsetting the dressing room if he didn’t know and it was done behind his back then he needs to grow a fuckin pair and say so.
His demeanour during this entire saga has cast major doubts on his leadership, he’s literally shrugged his shoulders and just said “we’ll wait and see what happens “ some have described this as cool headed, I call it indecisive management when a strong call was required, either way..
I aint a fan and still can’t believe the free ride he’s getting from the WHO community and this isn’t a knee jerk I posted as much when everything was supposedly rosey in the garden.
He’s a very limited one dimensional manager, if we had a fully fit squad crack on and try to outscore the opposition, it’s what we all want to see, however sometimes you have to cut your cloth accordingly, something he’s seems incapable of doing.

Ambitious talented marquee signing for west ham with a promise from the chairman of champions league football in three years.

Subsequent 2 Seasons spent struggling in lower mid table.

Player realizes not happening, loses patience and demands move.

Club Sell on cheap and replace with substandard player.

Re: Arnautovic
Marko Arnautovic could be set to return for West Ham's next fixture - ending fears that the foot injury he sustained at Wolves was something more serious.

The Austrian forward was substituted 20 minutes from the end of West Ham's 3-0 defeat on Tuesday night amidst fears that he could be sidelined for some considerable time.

However a medical assessment on Wednesday has confirmed that the damage caused was little more than superficial - just a bruise - despite a hobbling Arnautovic leaving Molineux on crutches and in a protective boot.

Should the 29-year-old fail to recover in time for the Liverpool test, he will be back in time to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on 9 February.

Re: Arnautovic
Clearly he's attitude has had an effect, yet our prick chairmen go behind the managers back and give him an inflated deal.

I can only hope we ship him out in the summer, get Gomez in to replace him.

Yeah just read that Goose....

“If we want to become the team we were in December, then we need to bring everyone together and stick together.”

That's December when Arnie missed most of it through injury... came back for the Burnley game... you know the one we lost...

Re: Arnautovic
I sometimes despair of this club. Sullivan and Brady are completely inept. We can slag off Arnautovic and his brother for their totally boorish behaviour all we like (and I will) but what Sullivan/Brady did once the deal was dead is unforgivable.

To reward such conduct with an improved and extended contract is staggeringly stupid. And for Brady to announce it as great news just minutes after a thrashing from a third divisin club plumbs new depths.
Not only is it a slap in the face for the fans but it sends out such a bad signal to the players it's no wonder they've looked so demotivated in the last two games.

After Wimbledon and Wolves Pellegrini has looked shellshocked at the lack of effort shown by pretty much all the players and has struggled to explain it. Well the cause seems pretty clear to me and as long as the stench of Arnautovic remains at the club then I think we have a problem.

But the root cause of the clubs continued lack of progress are the owners and Brady, and as long as they're here we'll continue to be the best supported car crash of a club in Europe.

Zabaleta's comments are very telling. This whole thing has had an effect on morale. MP didn't seem thrilled about the new contract either.
still not too late to pack him off to China.

Re: Arnautovic
Hold up, he's a cunt but still one of our most important players and you want him to have a career ending injury or at best want him out for the rest of the season?

Do you think he was worse than Carroll, Hernandez or Antonio last night? None of our strikers got any meaningful service and Arnie has been having painkiller injections to play for a couple of months now

Personally I hope it's not as bad an injury as it looks and he's back soon. I don't pay his wages, I just want to see our best players on the park playing football.
